Pediatric Neuropsychological Testing

Pediatric neuropsychological testing involves a formal evaluation of abilities such as memory, language skills, visual processing, and executive skills (organization, planning, inhibition, attention) as they relate to brain structure and brain development.  Additional testing will provide information on general intellect, achievement skills (reading, math, etc.), social skills and emotional functioning.

Children and adolescents are referred for neuropsychological evaluation to help find the causes of difficulties in learning, attention, behavior, socialization, emotional control, developmental delay or brain injury from an accident, birth trauma, medical issue or other physical stressors. The results of this testing help guide treatment of those problems.
