James Phifer, Ph.D.
Dr. Phifer graduated from the University of Louisville in 1991 (Clinical Psychology) having competed the Neurosciences Program in 1985. Internship training was through Rush-Presbyterian-St Luke’s MedicalCenter, Chicago, Illinois, with postdoctoral training in the Neuropsychology Laboratory – University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Phifer has worked as an Assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and as an Adjunct Professor at WheatonCollege, MarshallUniversity, and West Virginia School of Medicine. He has provided neuropsychological testing services through multiple private practices, was the Chief Neuropsychologist for Tri-State Neuropsychological Consulting, Inc. and from 1999 to 2012 was the Executive Director of Radical Rehab Solutions, LLC. Dr. Phifer has also authored or coauthored numerous articles on the psychological impact of disasters on older adults.
